2D/3D/4D/HD/8K explained

Ultrasound types differ in the dimensions they capture and the level of detail they provide. 2D ultrasounds offer a flat, two-dimensional view, while 3D ultrasounds create a three-dimensional image. 4D ultrasounds add motion to the 3D image, showing real-time baby movements. HD live offered by the GE Voluson series (aka 5D) further enhance image clarity and realism, often with improved visualization of the baby's features.
